STOOM is a series of industrial loudspeakers designed by AudioLai. The project originates from a fascination with industrial structures and brutalist forms. Instead of concealing the technical components, STOOM highlights them: the horn, the cabinet, and the acoustic structure become visible elements of the design language.
The result is a loudspeaker that feels closer to an architectural object than to a traditional hi-fi product. Raw surfaces, structural proportions, and exposed acoustic geometries define its identity.
Despite its sculptural presence, STOOM remains a high-fidelity system designed for rigorous music listening. The horn loading, controlled directivity, and active amplification with DSP enable precise, dynamic, and spatially defined sound reproduction.
Each unit is handmade in Italy and developed as both an acoustic instrument and a design object.
STOOM is currently in preview and has not yet been officially launched.
